Who has been up? I've been on the Eye and pretty much cured my fear of heights but just looking at photos from The Shard make me go weak.

It's great especially on a clear day. The lifts are that fast that they make your legs bend !!

Newcastle-under-Lyme

I watched something on the telly the other day that was filmed on the observation platform and nearly pooped my pants. Especially when they showed a window cleaner dangling in just a harness

I would love to but it's very expensive just for a view isn't it?

Has anyone shagged at the top of the Shard yet?

I know it's been done on the London Eye.

I'm from London and I haven't even been to the London Eye yet. Nor have I been on the Shard. I do want to get on that Emirates cable thing as well.

...but, knowing me. I doubt i'd go.

I'd hold your hand..

There really is no excuse for you not doing the cable car at least. It is great at sunset as the lights come on along the river. You just need your Oyster Card. It is like a Disney ride but without the queues. It is a bit thrilling but no MRE than being on a ride.

The Eye still has queues but is best on a clear day. It is gentle and the scariest bit is stepping on and off.

The Shard is too expensive at the moment. Those that have been tell me it is a good experience but not worth paying full price.

All nice, safe ways to challenge yourself and feel a sense of accomplishment.

I don't really have that desire or whatever you want to call it to go on those things. I'm not scared of heights i don't think.

The only times i'd go to places like this would be with the nieces and nephews if they wanted a day out. I can't be going there on my own.

Oh, they joys of being single. I can feel it now lol.

Titz Towers, North Notts

A comedian I saw once spoke about the world's tallest building in the UAE. It has a super fast lift that takes you to the top, which is just the same as being in a small building with a slow lift. The view from the top is of sand, and sand looks the same from any distance....

Just book it! I'm always going off on my own to places. You can do what you want without someone moaning that they are bored.

Try the London monument, 311 steps and a certificate when you get to the top
