GO FOR IT!!!!! I used to box as a kid and have nothing but absolute respect for anyone who puts on the gloves and climbs through the ropes, male or female.

See how you find it. It takes a lot of skill to get that far. If you need it, I do have a horseshoe in my garage if you want to put it in your glove

I'll look to see if I can find another horseshoe and you can try one on each foot and see if that helps you with your foot work. It might help if they go the distance. 3 furlongs and over

It can be the longest 2 minutes of your life that's for sure!! Do some sparring, then you'll find out whether you like it or not, or are any good, anyone can batter a bag. Boxing ain't easy.

I think, you should keep your good looks, and just use the training as a form of keep fit. As for your trainer wanting you in the rings, lol, enough said, I'd love in your rings, wrong country, oh well....

I'm sure there are things you can do to improve footwork...particularly skipping.

If you're dedicated, you'll train hard..a lot of boxing is muscle memory, including footwork.

Good luck x

Now here is one lady I'm not going to piss off

If a fight breaks out with others would I be a wuss if I stood behind you lol

But seriously, well done on keeping the discipline to get as far as you have. I think you know in your heart what you should do, because to get this far your heart is the one getting you through all that training xxx

Good luck in whatever you decide, I could always do with a body guard if you don't take up boxing

After all I'm only a train ride away

What a line from Rocky 5. I actually liked that film, I know I'm on the minority but I liked the story and the street fight was different. Hopefully will be on over Xmas.

'My rings outside', now that raised a smile lol

Sparing and gym work is fine, just wait till you have been really hit with aggression by someone who is intent on knocking you into the middle of next week and we can have the debate again !!

You should wear a head guard if you have to go through with it, same for the men too.

"Boxing not a sport"

no boxing is also an art form.

the art being able to strike your opponent without being struck yourself.

I must be a perve, wants you in the ring has a whole different connotation to me.

Seriously though, go for it. Worst you can do is try your first bout then decide. If nowt else, the training regime will do you the world of good.

Apparently, knowing when to quit/call it a day is a key skill.

its hard to judge without seeing it in the flesh however when a lot young kids first start they have poor balance at the point of throwing a punch because they are afraid of whats coming back at them if they don't land.

is it the same when you jab or when you try and unload.

dont agree with women boxers OR male ones either.

don't see the point in 2 people beating each other up like that for sport etc. just my opinion.

It's more positioning my feet to recover and guard so if someone was to through and hit me I'd probs fall lol although it's not that bad x

i doubt its as bad as you think lol.

the ball room dancing tip is a good one but also whilst skipping try adjusting your feet and altering your stance from orthodox to southpaw and vicer versa

so that it becomes natural
