Fabology! Make A New Religion.

The Supreme Court has effectively ruled that Scientology is a bonafide religion. It's followers don't believe in a deity (same with Buddhism) and by many accounts it's based in no small part on science fiction.

What's to stop anyone with the time or will from starting a modern religion? Just think of the benefits. Protection under human rights and discrimination legislation for starters!

All that is needed is a philosophy or set of standards on how to live life to the betterment of those around you.

So my challenge to you is to help design the new Fab religion, what's in and what's out.

In : No one person shall have say over who another person indulges in sex with.

Out: All those that cease to meet/swing once they cosey up with another. Cos that's just like stopping going to church once your married or christened. Innit! You were never a believer in the first place.

To expand a little on Granny's point - genuine full sexual freedom for competent, consenting adults. Whatever their status.

If anyone is free to have sex with anyone at any time then infidelity would be a thing of the past. Sexual guilt would be no more.

Maybe that doctrine would be a step too far for some!

Isn't the guilt, the knowledge that its frowned upon in 'normal' society, part of the attraction?

Rather than removing choice it widens the choice of the individual, stops ownership of one by another and puts an end to guilt laden moralising by those with insecurities.

Couldn't agree more, but that would be truly scary for some people....even though it would be liberating for others.

The concept of ownership and therefore a degree of control over another person is so ingrained.

but by objectifying you 'subject' and saying everyone has sex with anyone, that removes the choice of saying no.

nothing to do with ownership of others, but more ownership of ones own body

Quite the opposite in fact. Reinforcing freedom of choice. Sexual freedom with the bottom line of it being consenting adults.

Of course no still means no, or it's not consenting adults! Maybe I didn't make the suggestion clear.

We could have dogging spots as our churches, clubs as our cathedrals and instead of miracles, we could have a single guy who has a profile without a Sky remote in sight....

Be careful how you mock the Sky Remote, that's exactly how religious relics start out. Take the holy grail, it was just a cup that touched his lips, imagine if he measured his cock with it!

If Fabiology takes off the Remote of Sky will probably have it's own cult one day.

In fact imagine two brothers, both of who follow Fabiology but each has chosen a slightly different path to enlightenment. One the Remote of Sky, the other the Chalice of Lynx. All of a sudden the simple lynx can and sky remote could have an aggressive following. Generations later the offspring of each brother could be fighting wars against each other in order to control the holy land of the forums. Each side believing theirs was the only true and honest way to represent phalice endowmment!

Lets just leave the sky remote out of it, some people will use any excuse to fight a war!

I see what you mean. No end of ding dongs have started over nothing and this is about measuring a dong, so cripes.

At least when people enter a holy site and bend down to genuflect it gives people a couple of options and we could have confessionals with holes cut out in the relevant areas....

Sounds a great idea, but one that is not going to be liked by the respective councils - for starters the clubs would not have to.pay business rates being classed as places of worship
