He doesn't come across well and admitted that in his Thankyou speech in fact he was amusing by saying take no notice of how my voice sounds, I really am excited right this minute ( or something to that effect )

also 'personality' is very subjective, we the general public probably dont really know what his actual personality is away from the circuit, media etc..

he does have a great personality, he is just a very focused and driven individual.
tim henman had a great personality, he did fuck all.
hence murray wasnt even there last night.
he deemed the ceremony was a waste of his time whilst he is recovering form back surgury and getting ready for his next tournament.
sorry, you generally get nowhere near the top by being a nice bloke.
i find djokovic and nadal extremely boring to listen to in interviews, but i cant believe all tennis players are boring cnuts!!
and, for pure personality alone, i would have gone for hannah cockroft.
funny, sexy and i would certainly enjoy some time with her |

A surprise yes, but im not sure i would i agree that its the only issue.
The fact that the only scotsman on the shortlist won and was followed by the only welshman and the only irishman is an issue, surely there has been a sexist and anti english conspiracy at the bbc !!!  |

On a slighty more serious note, i was pleased to see the young award and unsung hero award go to minority sports.
Normally its the well supported sports with plenty of money. |
