I feel awful! I'm two weeks into radiotherapy and pretty sore, now on top of that, I think I've caught a chill. Temperature is sky high but still feel so cold, mega nausea, aching all over. I'm home alone and no one close local enough to come look after me, so I'm feeling pretty sorry for myself and lonely cried for the first time since being diagnosed (about being I'll I mean) and figure I need comforting...what comforts you when you're feeling shitty? I need some ideas!

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I'm sorry about your diagnosis, having to go through the treatment and after affects alone.

When I get doldrums and need comforting I find an old favourite film, preferably a weepy and/or musical and get lost in that for a while. Chocolate and a blanket to complete the fix.

Get better soon.

Titz Towers, North Notts

Hot bath and a good book. I hope things pick up for you, lass. If your friends knew how you were feeling, I'm sure they'd all rally round. Hopefully tomorrow will start off better and then improve by the hour.

Fabfestive, you really need to ring NHS direct for some advice. Not kidding here, someone undergoing treatment such as yours should refer themselves at the first sign of increased temp, cold symptoms etc. xxx

I called the hospital as soon as I started feeling poorly, had to pop up to be checked over, but it's just side effects and a chill, probably be back to normal (or what passes atm) tomorrow...I hope!

Its what friends are for, dump yourself on someone, family of friend, people love helping and we all need someone at times like these.

mind you, I have my 3 dogs and they are helping me through something similar, I wouldn't want to dump on friends or family, they have their own problems, so I will do what I always do, work and help others 12 hours a day, with abba for light relief.
