Looking for recommendations for things to do NY day as we're arriving back in Blighty NY eve and aren't able to get back to Arse End until 2nd Jan.
Will be with my vanilla best mate so no pervy suggestions please...I'm thinking a trip into the city and a coupla museums for a bit of culture if they're open on NYD...all suggestions great fully received  |

Hi Caz.
At Gatwick, you're not that far from the seaside. If you clear the airport early you could take in a mini tour of the south coast resorts like Brighton or Hastings and maybe even get to Dungeness. If the weather is good that would be a great way to make yourself feel back in Blighty.

Just checked the opening times for 3 places in London:
British Museum is closed on 01 Jan, however, the V&A is open between 10:00 to 17:45.
Selfridges is open between 11:00 to 21:00!

When do you head off and where to this year?"
Heading down to London on Thursday, staying near Gatwick, flying to Morocco Friday, back NY eve. We might do the parade then although apparently there's lots of train work going on during Xmas period so may be bus into the city  |
