Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

If I need cheering up I either have a baking/cooking session, or put on a comedy DVD. Both work a treat, although the DVD is less fattening.

South London

What would cheer me up right now is for someone lovely and fun (not necessarily a man) to phone me up and tell me to get all dressed up in a posh frock as they are going to take me out for a nice meal and drinks cos they know I have had a shite few weeks and they would like to cheer me up

Either spend the day paintballing as nothing cheers me up more than playing soldiers in the woods, going out for a ride on the motorbike or siting in front of the telly watching TT closer to the edge dvd with a beer or two.

after the year my neighbour has had, i left, on her doorstep yesterday, their xmas card, a box of chocolates, bunch of flowers and a bottle of wine.

the note she put through my door that i found this morning not only made me smile, but also brought a little tear to my eye when she said my kindness made her cry.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I normally sing.

I've been feeling miserable and lurgied all day but my sister cheered me up by bringing dinner over to me: a hot lamb curry to chase the lurgy away.

thank you both.

she has had a bit of a tough time this last year with losing her dad, and a few other things.

sometimes its just nice to be nice isnt it?

it can be its own reward.

not only that but she really is a lovely woman and we can spend ages just stood on the drive chatting, when neither of us have anywhere better to be anyway lol

Today we are throwing an 'ickle party for some old folk who 12 months ago let on to each other but kept to themselves. Now all meet regular on a Sunday. They think they are chipping in for the buffet but that is our gift to them. Its going to be carnage but a bloody good laugh
