"What is Gumbo and Belfast Baps?!!"
Gumbo is Louisiana specialty. Like a stew. Made from a roux with chicken and sausage or crab, shrimp, and oysters.
No idea about the other. Then again, I'd have to Google most everything in this thread, lol. |

"Poor baby stilton, you could at least let it grow up first
I guess it would have to be chips on the market here or herrings."
Or turnips and sugar beet
All I can think of for Norwich is Coleman's mustard but my brain isn't working well tonight. |

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack! |
Blue Vinney cheese and Dorset Nob biscuits. The cheese is a variation of Stilton but probably a lot softer in texture and Dorset Nob buiscuits are golf ball size rolls that are double baked and very crispy. They can be soaked in your cup of tea if you so fancy. |

Would have to be Eccles Cakes (closest for food)
Would of been Boddingtons Bitter (for drink) had they not pulled it down.
As I have a Belfast mammy, it would for me, have to be...boiled potatoes, bacon and cabbage and my Gramps, Irish stew.... |

Well that brought up a whole load of foods I have never even heard of.
But I liked the Cornish pasty addition oh and Yorkshire puds and the Scots contribution of haggis and whiskey
I think only miss cheekychops is contributing for the midlands, I'm surprised no one has mentioned another speciality .....
I'll add on Lincolnshire poacher
And Lincolnshire sausage for near me
And when we holiday in Norfolk, there's Samphire. |

Peas Pudding with roast ham in a stottie. Peas pudding is made from split yellow peas mixed with the juices from the ham and seasoned. Never get it out of a tin though, yuk! |
