I'd think in order it would be depending on the size of the school:
Class teacher
Head of year
School head
Board of governors
Local education authority
Depending on issue you may need to enter further down the list
Outside bodies would include local councillor, mp and the school inspectorate obviously dependant on what the issue is.
Hope that helps though most schools would want to keep an resolve any issue in house. |

the school reception should have a list of governors, contact the chairperson outlining the problem copy the head on and ask for an acknowledgment and a copy of their complaints procedure. Request a meeting with the headteacher and chair of govs to discuss the problem. If you feel that the issue has not or will not be resolved satisfactorily follow the complaints procedure. If you are still not happy go to gov.uk and search under "complain about your childs school".

Well to school and the LEA and Ofstead they all play and the buck. The school is ignoring an issue that is a shock NOT.
Yes the school will have a list of number of the governors if they do give you the list. put it in writing and stat in the letter you need a reply in writing as well give them 14 day to get back to you. If they do not give you a reply in writing with the 14 days go to the LEA and do the same if they do the same go to Ofstead.
Depending on what the issues is try going to the local paper as well, it might give them a kick in the but they need.

We are both teachers But can't offer any better help than has been said already. It all depends on the issue in question really where you go from there. C xx |

Up on them there hills |
"Contact the chair of the board of governors."
Problem with the teacher, contact the head teacher
Problem with the head teacher, contact the Chair of Governors and ask for the complaints procedure policy and put in a formal written complaint.
If not satisfied ask for the complaint to be taken to the Governing body appeals committee.
If still not happy ask the Local authority (if it is a state school) to have you case heard by the complaints committee of another school, the L.A. will organise it. |

I'm guessing that the problem is with a school where a family member is a pupil rather than where the op works. |
