I apologise if this thread results in anyone else catching beepaphobia that I seem to have developed recently.
Why does everything bloody beep these days 
To name but a few, the car for lots of soddin' reasons.
The dishwasher
The washing machine
The microwave
aaargghhh
it's doing my head in. You cannot get through a day without being beeped at several times. I am now looking to de-beep some of them, by issuing a swift jab to their beepers  |

Don't forget the fridge door left open bleep.
I've turned all my bleepers off, which is a little awkward as, as you know, I'm an on call emergency brain surgeon.  |

I once had a microwave go bang. Following that, I don't object too much to them pinging, now.
However, I feel your pain. If I'm invited to your next gathering, I shall wear a classy black and white striped jumper and carry a big bag with me and relieve you of anything that goes beep.  |

"The constant pinging and beeping really gets my goat as well. Text messages, email notifications as well as all that's mentioned above. "
ha don't get me started there. My work generously give me a laptop, ipad and mobile that ping in triplicate when I get mail! Oh and there's the printer that beeps a lot as well |

Teenagers in the house with their bloody Facebook updates, ping , ping fucking ping. I'm going to go and sit in the middle of a field for an hour to escape it all. |
