I remember when games were on cassette, and the screaming sound they'd make as they loaded. The box artworks were often amazing, though took a fair amount of artistic liberties with the blocky, 3-4 colour graphics games had. |

"The Super Nintendo - the ones where you had to blow all over for the game to work.
Super Mario 3 was amazing on that!
Sega as well..
"
super mario brothers 4 actually, mario 3 was part of the all stars package
I still play snes games..on occasion with better graphics(well in high res)(no slow down etc), games like pilot wings, almost all mario games,zelda,Chronotrigger,bomberman2,secret of mana(a 3 player rpg!),super metroid.. the list goes on
I've always been a nintendo..from the first nes..and so on..unfortunately their own success will be their demise in sales wars, but they do make the best games, everything I see now, ps4,xbox one bores me...happy not want the 'cooler' consoles to be honest |

"Today there is the Xbox 1
Play station 4
Which games console do remember.. My first is the commodore 64 2hrs to load train robbers! "
2 hrs to load a game ??? if it was a console then it must have been the Commodore 64 Games System which was a cartridge based games console, so instant loading. |

zx spectrum and manic miner, eventually completed it
then got an amstrad cpc464 when they first came out, found there were hardly any games you could buy, but found some gaming mags that printed some so you had to sit for days copy typing them into your 464 and saving them to the built in cassette |

I had an Atari 2600 - frikin loved that machine. It was basically just different coloured blocks moving around on the screen. They would then call the coloured blocks pac-man or space invaders but it was essentially the same thing you had to imagine it was different. |

My first console was the original Nintendo that came with Mario and duck hunt.
But my dad had a zx spectrum (although not a console) with the cassette player bit seperate that used to take forever to load a game, then he had the +2 with the cassette player built in then it changed to a floppy disc drive if memory serves!!! The first one had rubber keys lol x |

I had a Commodore 64. Rember having to forward the tape to certain numbers to get the game to load.
Used to love slurpy and spy hunter. All football games never worked with the joystick as you could never go left! |

10 years? To the girl who's next to me at school.
If i put my hand upon her leg she hit me with her rule.
Oooops, wrong thread.
Punched tape here, join the dots lol.
I did once have a 14k (really!)computer, designed a decent golf game on it, only problem was it had to store each hole and data on a cassette tape, one hole at once lol. Took forever to load. |

"We had Pong. And then a Vic 20 on which we had to type the code for games."
Was just thinking no one had mentioned Pong
We were one of the first houses locally to get it, I was a popular kid when that happened! |

"Sinclair ZX Spectrum +2A. Will never ever forget it. Paper Boy and Dizzy the egg! "
Loved paperboy, you used to be able to cheat by riding right on the edge of the curb, not of the obstacles could knock you off then |
