ive known a fwb for four years now and he text me to say hes met someone and may try making a go of it im pleased for him but im gutted deep down I know he would one day but im gonna miss him he has said we will keep it friends |

I feel for you, it can be hard when you lose a fwb cos you know you can't just call them up anymore and say "fancy a fuck?" If you still feel gutted after a while then I would say move on and let go, the whole reason for having a fwb is to avoid these situations but sometimes there can be a flaw in the plan, emotions. |

I'm sorry to hear that Ruby, its a hard thing to hear.
Hopefully you will stay close friends, I have done with an ex fwb, she's now settled with a youngster, and we go for a coffee every so often.
As said above, if you still feel the same way in say, three months, maybe consider forgetting him altogether, as emotions getting in the way is just a nightmare (having done that, too).
