Ever wish you'd lied about your age?

Picture it - someone new appears in your local list. You click on them, great photos, their wants match yours looking good but oh no you're a couple of years too old 
Not loads and as I'm reasonably fit I could get away with being a few years younger but oh no I told the truth all those years ago when I signed up - so this new person appears to be a dead cert and great match would you be tempted to change your age just so you could contact them even if it meant creating a new profile?
If so are there any profiles on here where you've been tempted or worse still done exactly that? lol x  |

Ah buts that's what I'm saying just a year or 2 as you get older a couple of years surely wouldn't matter - and depending on how far things went they might never know - let's be honest here how much information on here is 100% accurate anyway - fake profiles, singles pretending to be couples - real names etc etc |

I have thought about this Westlands but in the end the way I see it is they are the ones missing out. And there's no such thing as the perfect match, perfection is overrated it's the imperfections that make someone's character. |

They might appear to be a "dead cert" on paper but thats no guarantee they will be in real life. If you lie about your age you will forget and let it slip people have done with us including a guy telling us all about his first holiday to Ibiza with his mates, only the year he said would have made him 11  |

I respect that they don't want an old git (or juvenile) like me and move on. If they have a remarkable physical feature or a particular way with words in their profile, then I might compliment them, mentioning that I'm aware I am outside their preferences.
The ones worth their salt reply, confirming their stipulated preferences, and thank me all the same. I appreciate that women have a full-time job replying to their messages. |

Exactly L - it's not something I would do - but here's something suppose they've been on here for say 3 years but you're just 1 year out of their age range - it doesn't change year on year does it so strictly speaking despite the filters saying otherwise you could actually be in their range - just a thought  |

Mmm quite a few telling porkies about their age on here already, it seems.
Seen a few females where they have been 40 for 4 or 5 years now...now my maths is shocking....but how does that work?

The year or two obviously matters to them , and lying about yourself is not the best way to organise a meet. |

I'd rather be honest about my age and know that I'm wearing pretty well than say I was younger and maybe looking like the miles were showing. Billy Connolly always said if you want to lie about your age add 10 years on that way you look fucking tip top! |

You can only change your age once on here so that would be untrue. Unless that have created new accounts. |

This is the reason I won't block anyone dependent on age. We have a rough age set but it's not set in stone. People don't change overnight when they have a birthday and become too old for your stated preferences. |

So what happens when you change your age to get though their filters, message them, get knocked back, then see another profile where you would have been perfect....if you hadn't changed your age?
If a profile filters you out, move on. You never know, if they are local you may meet them as a social and then can charm them in person. |

Exactly folks - the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence or is it?
If everyone told the truth life would be simple - I wouldn't have to worry about whether that lady is actually a lady and not a bloke or why the female half of the couple was always asleep in bed (actually the amount my mrs sleeps that could be true!)
There are lots of players and fakes and I guess if we were all who our profiles say we are and paid attention to what others were looking for we wouldn't need to block anyone! |

I'm turning 40 soon and I have the odd younger "seeking older" and when I read the message I'm thinking "have I entered that category" who's older I'm still 25 in my head ha ha

There are two lies on my profile: Amy Gdala is not my real name and I didn't put the correct date of birth. That means that on the site I age a little earlier than my actual birthday.
I am amazed at how many men in their forties managed to be born so many years before me and yet still manage to be in their forties.
I have moved my age limit up as I have aged as that seems fair but then I find that I am catching those that claim to be in their fifties but who are actually in their sixties.
