Sheffield

Should only be used in fog.

When used in wet/rainy conditions they can dazzle and blind (momentarily) other drivers.

Gosh, why would you be thinking about other drivers, the secret is to go fast enough to keep out of the way....

kinky land

As we're rural round here every 2nd car has fog lights all the time. Its annoying. My mum got pulled for having hers on & i wish the police would stop other idiots.

Its 'blind the guy blinding you' round here :-\

Somewhere in North Norfolk

I was half blinded a couple of nights ago by a car pulling out behind me, close, in clear conditions after full dark with his front fog lights on.

Even with my rear view mirror dipped the reflection in my wing mirrors seared my eyes.

It seriously affected my ability to see properly and was incredibly distracting. It's dangerous.

Rule 133 of the current Highway Code states: - 'Use fog lights when visibility is seriously reduced’

Fog lights are only required when normal lights can't be seen! Not like thus morning when it was a bit misty! My rule of thumb is that if you can safely drive at more than 40mph you don't need any fog lights on. Rant over

The car did it all by itself?!

Some people think they make your car look better and go faster.

If you're 'blinded' by fog lights maybe you're too close?

I'm more irritated by idiots that don't have any lights on at all in the fog.
