That's why I'm emailing all my Xmas festive greetings and good wishes this year!
Won't get lost in the post, saves me the effort of writing them, is very environmentally friendly (as Internet paper is 150% biodegradable!) - and cut and pasting "Merry Fucking Xmas mum/bro/sis/auntie Bernard/you miserable knob jockey" takes far less time and frees me up for hours of staring at spangly Xmas lights in shop windows!
*and women's bums through the window at costa!
**which of course is not what I'm doing now!
*** much ! |

"I had to ask if it was correct when I got mine yesterday. That's gone up a lot since last christmas... " Thats what I thought...I usually only buy a couple at a time so didn't really think about the cost. |

And they will go up and up in price over the next few years!
British gas etc etc..are we any better off when these companys are sold?
Enjoy your shares those who bought them. But do not complain in years to come. |

60 pence to get a card from Lands End to John O'Groats potentially. It's cheap. They only make money from parcels.
Which private courier firm (DHL, UPS etc) would deliver anything, anywhere, for 60p?
Be realistic! |

As an anti social bitch I don't do xmas cards....can't be arsed with all that faffing about.
Those that are special to me know it all year around, and those I don't see from one end of the year to the other don't matter.

I don't know how well or otherwise the system works once you get out into the sticks but, big city to big city, there doesn't seem to be much difference between 1st and 2nd class post in terms of delivery time. |

They have gone up so much
I wonder if they will do a U turn though, like they did with the small/medium parcel guidelines. Tried to charge me £9.50 to send a pair of boots, apparently they were losing money to Hermes and now it costs £3.70 again. |

Losing, damaging and seriously delaying post is an expensive business and they are achieving consistently better results.
Never mind penny sweets, I remember when first class post arrived the following day nine times out of ten and rarely went astray.
There days you need to pay an extra pound or something for a number that might eventually have them accept they lost the parcel. Even then they try not to refund. |

Ah yes, My Hermes. Able to fail to collect your parcel for much less than Royal Snail charge to lose it. |

I'm still using stamps that I bought several years ago... First Class, about 30p I think... But think of all the interest that I've lost on the money I tied up in the purchase. At 0.5% that must come to quite a tidy sum. Probably not even enough to buy one stamp at today's prices... |
