no, havent seen those pictures.

were there many of them?

would imagine it wouldnt be just the dyslexic though, as the townships have a high rate of illiteracy, so possibly a lot of those laying flowers would actually be unable to read for worse poor educational reasons than just dyslexia.

then, obviously, you have those whose 2nd language is english, so again, their ability to read english would be greatly impaired

No subject is taboo in comedy, it depends on the timing

Sorry, you've lost met there.

What does comedy have to do with this thread?

Comedy is always subjective, depending on different tastes, cultures and education.

"Comedy is always subjective, depending on different tastes, cultures and education. "

agreed, but somethings that are very funny can transcend tastes and cultures.

this, well, it just doesnt.

the original joke about a japanese truck driver dropping exhausts on nelson mandellas drive was funny, but using it in this way, its just a random comment

Sorry, but I'm still not following.

Why do you keep posting about comedy?

I think you might be in the wrong thread mate.

Personally I don't find this joke particularly funny but I do recognise it as a joke. The fact that I have been subjected to it countless times over the weekend has desensitised me to it even more. What amuses me more about this thread is the fact that several people don't seem to understand that this was originally a joke thread and they simply didn't get it.

Fully expecting those same people to now come back and claim they did actually get it.

look at Venus's post, the 'joke' about Nissan main dealer and the exhausts has been about for yrs..

the OP is some sort of slant on that..

its meant to be a joke..

just isn't a funny one..

It shouldn't be forgotten that Nelson Mandela had a rather wicked sense of humour himself.

He was not above laughing at himself or the circumstances that shaped his life….

I loved that he said meeting the spice girls was the greatest day of his life….

by my post, you will actually understand i did get it, however, as i stated, in context its a funny line, to just throw it out makes it less so, to the point where its nowhere near a funny line
