I made an ice cream bomb years ago, it was amazing, tasted just like Christmas pud but was ice cream..you can't go wrong with ice cream.
Another thing you could try is cranachan, its light andrefreshing after a big meal. |

Delia's Squidgy Chocolate Log.
Looks impressive but is straightforward to make, will look like the pic and any cracks when you roll add to the look.
And for the veggie trifle get a jar of good high fruit content jam and melt with a little water to pour over the sponge. You can add fresh or frozen fruit to complement the jam. |

We usually have trifle, christmas pudding, christmas pudding ice cream and the christmas tree ice creams available - there's usually loads of Christmas pudding left over - you could also do a Christmas fruits cheesecake served with Baileys or cointreau/brandy cream..... |

Chocolate Cabbage !!
Take some of the better leaves off of a Savoy Cabbage,
Wash and dry them,
Using the inside of the leaf paint melted chocolate on to it, about 2 good layers would be enough,
you can use one type of chocolate or all 3 (That's what i do) so there is something for everyone.
Leave to harden and very carefully peel away the cabbage leaf and you should be left with with the grainy side on the underneath.
Put to one side and then make a chocolate mousse,
Try and make a ball shape,
then put the mousse in the middle of the plate and arrange the chocolate leaves around it.
To eat break a piece off and dip in the mousse.
Make sure you make plenty of leaves because they have a tendency to break, and if they do big deep breath and try again |

required ,,,,, 1 bottle sherry
2 packets of gingernuts
1 pint whipping cream
bit of dark chockolate to grate on top,
soak a couple of gingernuts in sherry , take out before they disintegrate , spread a bit of whipped cream on and stick together , soak another ginger nut and spread a bit of cream on and push onto previous nuts and cream . try and make a circle if poss or some other design , when you have used up all the gingernuts and sherry then cover up the untidy bits with the cream that's left over and decorate with some grated chocolate ,
beware 2 packs of gingernuts can soak a lot of sherry so be carefull if driving ,
if you have some melon then this goes very well together |
