To me friends with benefits suggests both a sexual and social relationship.
A fuck buddy suggests a regular partner purely for sexual gratification. Open to offers on either level . |

FWB is someone who is a friend first and foremost, with whom on occassions you might have sex with
An FB is someone who you have sex with whenever you both want it, you dont have to be great mates for this role just shag each other when the urge takes you |

"What is most peoples thoughts on the differences between a FWB and FB?"
Labels shmabels!
Although I guess a traditional FB is someone you call/text when in the mood in the hope they are too, see regularly for fun but have no other social interactions.
A FWB I guess is just that - a friend you have fun with - both sexual and social - although the % of time spent doing either will vary from person to person.
As long as both parties are happy with the arrangement then I guess the label is unimportant to them - probably more of an 'issue' for others.
I'm now no longer calling Fox my FB/FWB - as we are more than that. Best buds who spend a lot of time together, have great fun in and out of the bedroom, but wouldn't class it as a traditional 'relationship'. And neither of us gives a fig what anyone else thinks - we're happy and that's all that matters! |

that's how I see it
people on here go on about making friends and a friend with benefit being a friend you have sex with
To me a friend is someone I go out with, maybe go shopping with, would come to my home for a drink, my kids would know them, do people on here actually do that sort of stuff with people they fuck, just meet on a total social level and have them drop in on you at home whenever they felt like a drink and a chat, cause I wouldn't |

I use the term fuck buddy, simply because it sounds nice and dirty, my current FB likes it too, she has openly admitted that when we meet and I call her my fuck buddy, she feels like a slut, I'm not saying she is a slut, she's a very nice girl, but feeling like a slut is part of the excitement for her, in everyday life she is a goody two shoes but come Friday night she's very very naughty so I guess what term you use is relative to what you want to get out of it we are friends, just don't use a euphemism for what we do that's all. |

Fuck buddies you just fuck. Friends with benefits there is a social aspect as well as sex in my mind. I have a fwb and I adore him he knows I love him as a friend as I've told him. We hang out have dinner lots of laughs and the most amazing sex I've ever had. I never thought I could be so lucky a year ago when he was invited for me to sample a mmf we would end up such good mates! Funny but the guy I was 'with' at the time said clear as day he could see me and my now fwb in the future. He was right in some respect as I couldn't ask for a nicer or more charming guy in my life as my mate!! |

People will define them how they like. To my mind the former has more friendship involved wheras the latter may be just about sex. |

This comes up quite regularly, and it's become pretty obvious that what's one person's FB is another's FWB.
Personally I dislike the FB term, but maybe that's because I'm very much a FWB person, at the very least! |

I've had a fb, she was married to someone else, we had some very nice times together in bed, but that was as far as it went (her husband knew, and approved btw), also a fwb, we were both single at the time, went out for meals / cinema etc, slept together when it suited us, but both had our own lives too.
A subtle difference, but there, at least in my mind. |

"Same shit different name "
Maybe it's a mental thing but i disagree with this.
FWB to me is friends first benefits second. So meeting socially and being there for each other in time of need as friends.
FB in my mind at least is seeing each other as nothing more than someone to fulfil the physical act of sex.
Just my views of it |
