Message Response Times

A two part question and blunt honest replies would be appreciated -

1. How quick do you respond to any messages regardless of who they are from (play mates or new introductions) &

2. What would you do if someone you were chatting & in mid-conversation with didn't reply back when they said they would

It's an open question to all and all opinions are valid and appreciated

1. depends how I'm feeling, sometimes leave it an hour or two

2. Cant say I set people strict replyal (if that's not a word then it fucking well is now) times

If they stop messaging I guess they got bored .

I just leave it.

If subsequently the messages show as deleted Idelete also and move on.

2. Jump in my car and drive round to their house and bang on their door/window repeatedly shouting "why are you ignoring me" til they open the door/the men in white coats come and take me away!

Sometimes real life takes over !!!!!!!! I know mad thought !!!! I usually don't open a message if I don't have time to reply ! But sometimes you will open it and then something happens at home and you don't get a chance to reply !!!

And if I get no reply from a message I have sent then I just wait and\or move on to someone who wants to listen to my crap !!!

If I m free and able to I respond pretty quickly,

Never check sent mail so its if and when they respond to my mail, if they don t I console myself with the thought I was out of their league,, other implausable excuses are used as well,,

Cheers boys & girls some varied and interesting replies but they do seem to fall in to the same trend as my thought pattern as in

1. Depends how busy you are as there is a bigger world outside fab &

2. Patiently wait but not take it personally if there isn't a reply quick enough

Just wanted to get a little niggle out of my head as i haven't replied to individuals quick enough due to personal issues & now cant reply to her

Oh and Obi get off my doorstep else i will have to get a restraining order you naughty bugger

It depends on what I'm doing at the time.

If I read a message from someone I am in regular contact with... And have no time to reply or am

Unsure of the reply im going to give, there and then, I try and make a mental note to reply next time I'm about.

Always try and reply to regular contacts others depends on the message. Very rarely reply to randomers.. Unless of course they take my fancy

1. I usually reply right away if I'm online, if I'm not I reply when I see it. For a newbie or friend.

2. Most of the people I chat with often know my schedule and I know theirs so if I message them and they don't right away, it's no big deal. I think what's odd is when you message someone for 5 days straight every waking hour and then they disappear from the site!

1. It varies sometimes seconds sometimes days.

2. Wait two weeks and if they hadn't responded by then but had been active on the site assume the conversation was at an end.

Can sometimes leave messages as long as a few days without replying. We tend to leave them as unread though as an indication that it's not being opened and ignored.

People that chase us for a reply rarely ever get one.

If someone doesn't reply, mid conversation, I would think they didn't want to or they were busy.

sex and swinging is such a small part of my life, I spend more time on the toilet, or taking a shower.

nothing on the net is real, its a fantasy land, if I had to think why someone had done something, it would be a waste of time.

Generally as soon as I get chance and I don't worry too much if I don't get a reply that day. It does throw me when someone sends you a reply a few weeks later.

What I'm not keen on is when you respond to a message about a meet and the other party read it and not reply and you're left hanging

I read the, message as soon as I see it.

Depending on the contents, I will delete, send a polite nothankyou, or send a normal reply, the length of which depends on the person and/or the subject.

If interrupted halfway, I assume real life has taken over. At times I have to abandon ship as well; I try to warn the other party that I need time-out. Sometimes don't have time for that.

If its someone i know well and on my "friends" list, i will reply asap unless me dongle is playing up....

If its someone new and its a "fancy a fuck" message.........never

I dont reply to messages straight away and even if I've messaged them and they reply, if I'm enjoying the forums I dont continue with the chatting instantly and reply when I'm not distracted.

I dont sit and wait for people to reply to me if I've messaged either

When I have the opportunity if it's a friend or someone I'm planning on meeting, if it's someone I have no interest in probably never! Ha.

I'd assume that something in the real world took priority as it has with me many times.

Honest answer is it really depends on who it's is from and whether I want to talk to them. Sometimes I answer straight away sometimes it's hrs sometimes it's days and sometimes it's never.

As for answers back if I get them great if I don't then no biggie. I don't bother and actually wish there was no such thing as the ability to see when messages are read but that's just me.

Can be days to respond to a message from someone new, as we are a couple and both of us are often away for a few days so it has to wait until we have both agreed to reply. on going conversations pretty quick depending on which one of us is being questioned.

Nothing. would assume they got distracted would give up if they had not replied within a decade or two.

1. Depends who. If it's a friend and I'm online pretty quickly, usually within 5/10 mins. If it's a new person, depends what I'm doing and how I feel, sometimes I read the message and reply a few hours later or the next day depending in a number of factors.

2. Nothing because this is FAB and real life always takes precedence so if some disappears mid conversation or doesn't reply, I rarely give it a 2nd thought and go back to whatever I'm doing.
