Don't you hate it when you build something up only For there to be a problem so you can't have what you want when you want it?

Have been telling people all week how I was going to get contacts for a trial period today only to find out I have to have special ones for a stigmatism in one of my eyes so have to wait a week for the order to come in

years ago I tried ordinary ones and due to astigmatism they kept popping out so best to wait I wish they had done them then

Don't think of it as a let down - more of a postponement.

Draw some glasses on with a felt tip. Pretend you did get your contacts after all, just say you bump into things because you're d*unk. If they laugh, tell them what you can do with a kebab spikey thingy.

I've worn glasses as long as I can remember. Got a free trial of contacts, wore them 2 days, hated them!!! Felt like someone had taken half my face away!! X

I wear contacts a few times a week, the rest of the time I wear my specs. I think its nice to have the option. My sister on the other hand, as was said earlier, hates not having her specs as shes always worn them and uses them as a 'fashion statement'. I love my dailies though.

I'm the same, wear them some days not others. Mostly just for nights out and naughtiness these days.

As for looking plain Evie I know what you mean, my eyes are quite small and I have very light eyelashes, I find if I go without my glasses and don't wear any makeup I look dreadful. A little eyeshadow and eyeliner makes a big difference.

I don't get excited or build things up to much until whatever the event may be had actually happened

Titz Towers, North Notts

It is bloody irritating, especially if you plan your weekend around an event that is cancelled, or such as going out with a new look when your contacts arrive

Stick with them. I love my hard lenses and wear them all the time unless I'm having a lazy Sunday. Took some getting used to though originally.

In the middle

I wear the ones for astigmatism all day and throw them away after a 30 day period.

It did feel strange tho to have a bare face after years of glasses and I felt very naked for a while, love them now tho
