Not meeting at the moment?

I understand people may not want to meet for one reason or the other. However, they say they have friends on the site. If they are such good friends they would contact them via facebook? Twitter etc. So, why do they feel the need to post we not meeting at the moment. I find that rather uneccesary. Its like they want to be part of the site but part not. If you dont want, dont post.....Just an issue with me. Pam |

Im not meeting at the mo but i like the forums should i leave because i don't want meets or am i allowed to stay and state it for the few that do read profiles so as not to waste their time in mailing me? |

Why look for a couple just at the weekend? Because it suits you. Many use this site how they want to use it, be it socially, chatting to friends, on cam or in the forum. Personal preference and freedom of choice... |

We all go through phrases of not meeting and some are actually only here to chat on the forums alone!!

Not everyone has Face Ache plus some of us like to keep this side of our lives separate to any other social site's we may (or may not) be on 
We are all allowed to use this site as we wish. I dont meet very often so does that mean I should only log on once a month
I never understand why people get so judgemental on how others choose to use this site!! |

This is my facebook, lol can't stand facebook or want other friends posting things that could affect family or work life.
I also find it slows messages down and more get more genuine messages
But I don't care / think / worry about it, the site should be used how the individual wants as long as not causing harm to any one else |

I am not meeting at the moment for reasons I do not wish to discuss, however I do enjoy reading and commenting in these forums.
I can't actually believe this would be an issue to anyone, does it say somewhere in the fab handbook that people have to be meeting people to be a part of the site ? I think that'll be a no then. |

I'm not meeting but why should that mean I can't log into the site?? No-one can tell another who and when to meet or what and how to use the site...
I use this site for the chatrooms and forums...
If ppl consentrated on their own shit we wouldn't have to justify ourselves!!! |

Not meeting is a clear indication you don't want to meet.
Is that not better than leading people a merry dance pretending you will when you have no intention of meeting?

We aren't meeting at the moment due to me (jack) having had a operation, and I've put that on our profile the reason being is so it saves people time writing us a message when we have no intention of meeting. However when I'm fully fit We shall want to return to swinging, hopefully the sooner the better We miss Chams! |

Sometimes people want to take a break for meeting.
There are so many reasons! It's their choice. They don't actually have explain their decision.
Many have made good friends on here. Whom they would like to stay in touch with.
We will be not looking for meets very soon... I don't feel the need to explain why? 
Although our profile when we don't meet is also usually hidden. |

Stated in my profile "not meeting at the moment" (in title and in profile: i meet only in spring.. ) but still received messages asking for meets...so i just hide my profile for now.
Friends can still message and gain access to my pics, and we do keep in touch through chat in fabs chatroom. |

I have real life friends on this site and using this forum.
Admitted many times pm's/texts and what not go round re the forums (things that cant be said on the forum without landing us all on the naughty step) and also we chat & keep in touch away from the site also but it's good to see what is said on the forums even if I'm not, or my friends arn't; looking for nsa at that time.
For me personally. Swinging is as much social as it is meeting, this forum is just an extension of that social aspect |

now let me get this right.
what is being suggested here is leave fab, and then invite our swinging friends to join us on facebook and discuss swinging issues and exchange photos with them AND our family and vanilla friends??

I actually don't see what all the fuss is about. If people concentrated on how they used the site and not how others choose to use it I'm pretty sure it would be a more enjoyable experience for them. If you read a profile that doesn't suit or get a message/friends request/ wink that doesn't suit then ignore and move on blocking if you feel the need.
You never know by doing just that and not posted threads about things you have no control over you may just find something that does suit you.
And just to add people moaning about people moaning is soooooooo not a good look so I'm off to hide. |

some folk not even read your profile i had on mine i'm not meeting anyone and i got contacted by a cpl so im trying to think how to reply politely im not meeting and i got an abusive message back telling me to go get a life which i have im on the faceache to keep in touch with family and girls i used to work with and stay on here to use the forums

Don't reply to them it's easy. They haven't read your profile or if they have they have ignored it. Don't let anyone tell you how to use the site including me if you saw my other post. As long as you are not breaking any site rules they you use it how you want and sod anyone else. |

we have not meeting at the moment on our profile as we don't have the free time over Christmas and New Year. We put it up so anyone contacting us are not disappointed that we won't meet next weekend. First weekend in January we will take it off again. We don't know anyone on fab that we would also have on Facebook - two very different things. Why are we on now? Because 4 weeks off is no time at all and we can still make plans xxx |

Perhaps people who make comments like that are the ones who should move on to other sites, ye know cheap dating sites used purely for sex chat and quick fuck meet ups
This is a social site hense why it has a chat room and forums specifically for discussions

And most defiantly people like this wouldn't get on our meet list

I thought it would be helpful so people don't waste their time messaging me for meets and so far today it has worked, no new messages. |

We're not meeting at the moment. Our choice. We're not sure if we'll ever do it again, our choice.
I'm online most days just to read and sometimes contribute to the forums. I used to be an avid poster, but not so much these days.
