Cruise and Rosie's if you're te clubbing type. The later is a bit of a student dive.
The grosvenor has decent grub and down at the end of bridge street there is a pub or so with several dozen good types of beer.

Go to the comedy club in Rufus Court off Northgate St
There are a rook of fine pubs and restaurants to go to also 
Theres also a social being organised very soon
