I heard this said on the radio the other day.
Well I am bisexual and I don't feel like that at all. I have all of the best traits you expect of a man and probably many of those that are less favoured!
I am also comfortable with my softer side and, according to my wife and ex girlfriends, I have what women call their intuition.
Accepting and acting on my hidden feelings has been a revelation for me and for the first time into life I'm truly happy.
Just wanted that off my chest. |

Now are you sure you heard that?
Media reports I listen to never acknowledge bi. Youre either gay or straight.
Look how they report on people like Tom Daley for example.
Anyway it's poppycock.
Ps wish mrnotts had fem intuition |

I'm curious as to what people feel these are, masculinity in general I mean?"

But surely fixing a car or putting up a curtain rail is just a matter of knowing how to do it, so a woman could as easily do such thing as a man, just as a man could take up something classically feminine like knitting? |

back in the 70/80`s you would have been called allsorts of mad-names for it..
( arse bandit, peanut pumper, shirt lifter, jobby jabber, to name a few )
I would say that the Majority of peoples attitudes towards it have changed a hell of a lot over the years !! |

"So which station reported this then OP "
It was a discussion on Jeremy vine
It hasn't riled me; more made me aware of the change in my mental strength when I accepted my feelings. |

There's no need to trawl through all these names in this thread is there? It isn't ironic or post-modern or any other cover you want to use for bigotry. I don't believe if this was a discussion of racism you'd all be going through a list of names that black and Asian people have been called. It's just hateful. |

I did. I didn't think what I wrote would be such a challenge. You might want to try reading it again. |

Really I even unhid our profile to show people we are a BI couple - who can laugh at themselves. I see no malice in the above at all. |

I'm not convinced that's right. There's still a great deal of hidden and not so hidden homophobia out there. |

The post or the thread? Cos I can't see what is offensive about the old spice comment, I can see how some would be offended by some of the posts but not this particular one. |

How annoying! "Less of a man"... Such nonsense. As long as you aren't "less of a human being". What does it matter for goodness sake? I see these silly society-imposed barriers breaking down and thank goodness for that. |

"It's an odd phrase isn't it. Invented by frightened homophobic straights ?
Women don't suffer the same on sexuality. If you're a bi women wahay you're a game girl and if you're a lesbian you wear dungarees "
I thought all lesbians wear Doc Martins and lumberjack shirts... I better phone my sister and tell her the uniform has changed! |

Ditto ish on the snip, had a few male colleagues saying 'it' (sex) wont be the same etc..
