Forecasted bad weather is here and all i hear folk say is the weathers terrible and woe is me.

If you have to go out wrap up you will get wet. Get on with it and grow up its not as if its a new phenominan or owt.

We get a bit of wind and folk panic just think of the weather the phillipines had and get a grip.

Rant over for now.

I'm looking forward to watching the sea-state as the storm surge passes through here around high tide ...

I dunno when you're having to battle to keep in your lane, or having to hang off one side just to keep going in a straight line you want a little vent at the end of a ride

Weather on MY island was often severe, a force 8-9 gale was generally considered to be a bit breezy.

I have done nothing but moan about the weather since I got back to England, is warm, mild, not wet enough, not windy enough and is far too hot and sunny.

It is December and I am still wearing shorts and a t shirt and looking forward to a day when I can ...at the very least....put a jumper on and feel a bit chilly still

That bit of wind is likely to cause great disruption to people all along the coast when the tidal surge hits so many aren't panicking for no reason!

Titz Towers, North Notts

Look up British in any good dictionary and you'll probably see a picture of someone with a cup of tea in hand, tutting at the weather

It's bad enough, building I work in is partially flooded, roof damaged in one place with water coming in, and if the wind gets any stronger another part of the roof will be coming off, it was on its way when I left at lunch time

Over the rainbow, under the bridge

We live in the British Isles. We should be used to wind and rain by now. Just makes life a little more interesting.

If I constantly had to worry about 'what ifs' then I would lead a very miserable existence.

Sorry I can't, I work nights outside so it's even colder than in the daytime.

I dont usually stress over wind, having lived in Hong Kong and seen real wind.

This isn't just wind though, as my neighbours will tell you; their roof is in bits on the front lawn & drive

I just feel for those killed, without power or evacuated right now.

How are they going to continue to get the brain dead majority to carry on spending on windmills and "save the planet" crap unless they make them scared. Very scared!

more north lincs than mids!

We have family members who have been evacuated from their homes as the river has burst it's banks. They have had to move all their possessions upstairs (if possible) and get themselves out of their homes to an emergency shelter.

I'm sorry, but that's well worth having a moan about. This isn't "just a bit of wind". It's causing destruction up and down the country, claiming peoples lives!
