How old!? Really!!

As I admit in my profile text I've been "ecomonical with the actuality" re my age. For very spurious reasons that I outline.

However on occasions I've been amazed by what people try to get away with agewise. Some seemingly getting younger by the day.

Is it just my paranoia as an open "pork-pieist" or do you think its a common occurance?

I have a friend whos age is 11 yrs younger on here but he looks hot as hell so can easily get away with it

Other people less so,I changed my age range because men had either knocked 10 yrs off or had really hard lives it was ridiculous

Saw the profile of a guy recently that we met a long time ago. He had his age showing as younger than he did when we met him some 7 years ago. Don't know why he'd never pass for that age.

Each to their own but honesty is always our preferred method

Age is the one thing there's no need to hide on here but many do - mos like you, bullshitting to try and attract people.

Your lie is pretty pointless though. Why not put your actual age and state that you're looking for older women?

There's some tat almost definitely lie about their age

I remember having to show my driving license on a meet because she couldn't believe I was 28.

(I say 'having to show' I did it of my own accord and we had a great evening after)

I don't see the point of lying about my age. Plus I keep getting told I look younger so that's a bonus. I get cross when men 'adjust' their profile to get round my filters though!

I said something very similar to someone on here this morning. It's been my experience too.

One of my (social) meets from a year or two ago, claimed to be 38 but to look younger. A few days later his profile proclaimed him to be 48 which was a bit nearer the mark.

I'd say the majority of men over 40 who contact me are a bit lax when it comes to giving their actual age. Or it appears that way from the photos.

I'm not completely hung up on age but I've been struggling to pass that 50 barrier and this is exactly why.

I actually complimented someone yesterday for helping restore my faith that 50 does not necessarily mean they look 70!

I thought you couldn't change your age once it has been set ?

One guy whose profile said 32, tell me he's 28 but he "didn't know why it said that". It back-fired a bit because he was bloody hot but I concluded he was either a liar or too stupid to fill his profile in correctly and it put me right off.

When I saw Jason Manford the other week, he came out with a cracking joke about people losing years off their age. I'm not going to share it, as I know other people are going to see him

I once met a chap who gave his age as X, yet during the course of the night he told me about when he joined the army. If his fab age is correct he must have been about 8.

I have a few defining grey hairs so abit of a silver fox I suppose, usually in nights out girls easily pass me off for 26-27 but in only 24.....I guess it's just down to people and their honesty policy

I don't know if Admin care. They allow people to have multiple profiles with different sexuality settings so one profile (the bi one) has all the veris from men and TVs without it putting off those women and couples who won't meet bi men.

I don't understand it at all, whats the point? People either like you for who you are and the way you look or they don't.

I've been 6'3" since I was 14 and people have always assumed I'm older than I am. The addition of getting quite a few patches of grey hair now doesn't help at all!

I'm looking forward to my age catching up with how I look!

Swing and roundabouts on this site, sometimes the younger women seem to want older men, older women sometimes want younger guys - in my opinion seeing the age on a profile mentally alters perception depending on how much the person judges somebody. Easy going people care less of course. Still just an opinion.

When I get to 100 then I will lie about my age to avoid being outside all filters

Until then our profile shows both of our ages accurately can't see any point in introducing yourself with a lie, and it would quite possibly be a meet breaker for us, if someone is daft enough to lie about something so trivial what else is there?
