I'm allergic to spruce, pine and (as far as I can tell) all similar trees with needles. I love the smell but if I get needle scratches, even very minor ones, they swell up, form welts and itch like a bitch.

I don't know if I could have a fake tree though.

Fake. Cannot be arsed with hoovering up pine needles all the time. And even the smallest take up too much room in my lounge.

We always hae them with roots in a pot and fed and watered them, and we replanted them outside after Christmas. Most survived.

More environmentally friendly than manufacturing a plastic one.

A real looking fake tree!! The cats would most likely try and climb a real one!!

Ours is still in the loft and won't be going up until the weekend probably!

If I had it my way..... No Christmas decs would go up in our house! Can't stand them!

Fake one came out of its box in the shed on Monday and went up without any assistant from the cat this year... no doubt the lowest hanging baubles will be petulantly knocked off when she has one of her mardy arse sessions

Real and used to have real candles on it - great when lit, but a bit of a fire risk, so dont add them now. Dont do early decs though. If you cant have real inside, then lights on outdoor trees are great too.
