how does this work and what info can people find out on here ...im tecno dinosaur and only joined to send one pic ...next thing i know cousins..family members and all sorts are contacting us on it and sending us pics that i am certain they never meant to send us ...can they access our pics or other information we have on laptops .mobiles etc ...im in paranoia melt down here !!!  |

I think whatsapp lets you message people free, but only people who are in your phones phonebook or you're in theirs. They can't access anything you don't send them. But they will see your profile pic so it's best not to put anything naughty. |

On the money with this statement, whatsapp kik all pretty much the same no private pics can be accessed unless you send them to the recipient only the profile pic you choose to display is seen by the people you invite into your friends list |

lets you send pics/messaging via the internet so avoiding cost of MMS messaging.
it searches your contacts, and anyhone else who has whats app gets added, and you on thier phone.
all people can see is your profile picture/status.
otherwise it's exactly the same as your phones normal texting except it uses the internet instead of the phone signal. |

Yes they know your number on whatsapp but then they are in your contacts so know it anyway
KIK on the other hand works on user names so your number can stay secret  |
