How does one go about learning?

I'm guessing it's not as easy as sitting still and shutting up, (not that I find either of those particularly easy)?

do visualisations .. stand relaxed .. imagine your in a shower relax each part of your body relaxing and the warm water washing tension away start at your head and work down soothing music helps

take up tai chi to be taught more techniques xx

Headspace is a good organisation dealing with modern meditation. I think the address is www.getsomeheadspace.com.

They have a good app to help you stick to regular meditation.

I suffer bad depression and I bought a Tai Chi dvd for beginners, it does work as long as there is no other back ground noise in the house.
