I've just sat here laughing hysterically at Siren trying to activate her new credit card to a voice activated system. Now she's not very tolerant of these auto-activated call monitoring systems as they often bounce her around different departments or disconnect her entirely, which is probably due to her broad Geordie accent but hey, I have trouble understanding her when she's pissed off too so I'm not surprised if a computer in a call monitoring centre taps it's Dell Inspiron mate on the shoulder and giggles, "Hey, got another one here, listen to this...."
Computer Voice Thingy:

Siren: Noooo, it's 1971!

It's sounds just like the Geordies in that Michael Caine film 'Get Carter' when he gets off the train from London and goes into the pub. (one of my fave films)  |
