I have a dilemma and I'd like your thoughts please...
I have a male friend, who I've been friendly with for about a year (not from here or any other site) and I've realised that I really quite fancy him 
We are quite flirty and there's a lot of banter, but nothing more.
Do I leave well alone? Or let him know I'd like to get in his pants?  |

Has he given you any indication that this might be reciprocated?
Will you get over losing him as a friend if he bolts?
If the sex is not good will you be able to still be friends.

personally id leave well alone, a good friend is harder to come by than a shag, things may not be the same after you have had sex or they may be great, I wouldn't risk it |

He's not a swinger (that I know of!!!)
Good questions Lickety... I don't know the answers though. He's been more 'tactile' the last few times we've been out but he's not said anything.
I definitely don't like the thought of losing him from my life if it goes wrong. |

another thing id worry about with him not being a swinger and a friend, what if he takes your asking for sex as something more than just wanting a shag, he may think your after more from him, after you have had sex what if he gets clingy? |

ive been seeing a single guy off here for about 4 years ..he meets single girls as well but when one of them pulls the 'could this be more than nsa he backs off ..when guys write this on their profile they generally mean it ...works for me though ...always ends up back in my bed ! |

it's a tricky one....
I think if you want just to get in his pants then I'd leave it as it is, a big gamble to take just for a quickie. However if you want more than that I'd go for it!

It's not inevitable that you could lose him as a friend but the only thing you can prepare for is how you feel and how you will present the request. The better you prepare yourself for all eventualities the easier it will be for you.
Don't live life with "maybe if" hanging over you and don't over think it but do consider your approach.

A male friend and I did just that earlier on this year. We had been mates for a couple of years.
We now have the best of both worlds, still great friends and fantastic benefits.
