I'm thinking of getting a console, haven't owned one since the original playstation was launched but don't which one to buy. Both are really expensive and so are the games, popped into my local Game and couldn't believe how much they cost! So want to make sure i get the right one. Does anyone have either console already? |

personally I prefer Xbox. but rather than look at the consoles you should look at the games. both have exclusive games, so there's no point buying Xbox if all the games you twant to play area on ps. or vise versa |

I've had the ps4 since launch now and have to say I love it. The game titles are pretty much the same on both machines with maybe three or four notable exclusives on each over their entire life. The ps4 is the more powerful machine and the cheaper (yes the xbox has the kinect, but that is still a gimic and I don't see any killer app for that in the future same as the last kinect).
The only real decider these days is to get the console your mates have, as then you can play online with them. If that's not an issue then I'd go ps4. Microsoft have dropped the ball this time round, which is a bit of a shame as the last Xbox was great |

If you've not had a console since the ps1 go for a ps3. Great catalogue of games, blu ray player, will play films and games in 3D if you've a 3D TV and overall very very affordable now.
Ps4 and Xbox one won't have a very good batch of games for at least a year or so. |

Agreed! Hardly any games for them, so I have my xbox 360 slim hooked up aswell, I only bought the xbox one for halo 5 when it comes |
