Unusual Christmas Present Inspirations

Just an idea, we've all got people who we struggle to buy for. So how about we post some of the more unusual and inspired presents we've bought people? That way we may all end up with a great idea for a super bumper present. It's got to beat a book token or a box of Roses.
Here are a couple:
ride in a hot air balloon (cheaper than you'd think),
tickets to go White water rafting,
Beano Annual from the year of someone's birth,
a brass book mark with a farthing from the recipients birth year

I spent many hours last night making one of those word pictures for my parents. Where you use special/relevant words to make a shape. I've done it to look like their house. I think it looks quite good and hoping it looks even better when printed and framed  |

Movie night kit. A dvd, popcorn, chocolate, pop, etc in a basket.
Pamper kit. Face packs, moisturising cream, conditioning hair treatments, nail varnish, exfoliating gloves etc all in a basket.
And so on.....

I found beanie hats with earphones in them that connect to all types of mp3 and phones ............ for my two teenagers, they stay warm and can still listen to their music .... and they were not expensive  |

for older relatives, we have in the past for birthdays/mothers day arranged a Tesco/Asda delivery of food shopping, we thought it would be a great idea, a useful gift, and save them from struggling with heavy shopping |

my nan did a few jigsaws and framed them for me a few years before she died.
most treasured present i have ever been given, and still on my wall now 8 years on |

My rules of shopping for men buying for ladies: silk, cashmere or a genuine stone.
It has to be 100% silk, over 50% cashmere (check the label) or any genuine stone, semi-precious included but no cubic zirconium. Topaz, peridot etc. But mounted in gold or silver.
Though I don't know many men who wouldn't be pleased with silk undies or cashmere socks too.
Oh, and if she's vanilla but you want to buy undies make your choice then put it down and buy the exact same thing in cream. But check the label on something she wears regularly before you buy. |
