I like the idea of winking, of a flirtatious gesture to let people know that I think they're hot and am interested if they are. And I always check my winks, but it seems most people demand a message instead. In the real world I wouldn't walk up to strangers and ask them for a shag. Normally there's an exchange of facial expressions and body language that initiates a process.
I guess since this is a swinging site people don't like to beat around the bush, so to speak. |

to us, a wink is a sign of interest.
if its replied to its a suggestion the feeling is mutual.
then its up to the original winker to send a message.
if it doesnt come then fine, otherwise we chat in the hope of finding some mutual interest. |

I don't mind winks - if I like the look of them - I will send a message x as has been said previously, there needs to be a starting point, and while I agree it is a swinging site, there is nothing wrong with a bit of flirting first! |

Strange as we dont normally respond to winks but just lately we have started to wink back or send a short message saying thanks for wink and not had one response lol makes you wonder why they botheted to wink in first place unless by mistake lol |

We get winks from people who are out of our distance range and wanna see if we're interested, which is fair enough as it gets the job done and wastes less time than a message. However when someone winks us and we message them saying hey thanks for the wink, sometimes they don't reply to us. We tend to send out winks when peoples profiles sound good but they have few pictures, don't wanna message them sounding really keen for us to then not find them attractive. Same with if they have nice pictures but little profile text, they may not be great conversationalists and again don't wanna seem too keen then have to be like... Actually we've changed our minds. We rarely get any replies to winks though. |

I wink as it's a subtle way of saying I'm interested .I always respond to winks with a thank you. I don't see a need to overeact with winks it certainly doesn't mean I want to sleep with you. So guys lighten up it's just a compliment to you means you got something special.  |

If someone winks I look at their profile. If I like the look of it I will send a message or wink back. Depends on my mood. If they are not for me I simply ignore them.
I use them exactly the same as an initial message.

seems a bit of mixed feeling over winks...i personally use them as a first contact...its not being lazy...why write a message that very few people reply or appreciate??
Perhaps it could be addad to a profile if they want the wink facility?? |

Winks are a great way of breaking the ice potentially but as many say,some people don't even check them.
Would hazard a guess that if some females/couples checked all their winks,they would never be off the site |
