Having spent the day making handprint xmas trees for the twins grandparents presents, im curious as to whether many people make presents or just buy them?

It depends who they're for, I find that kids and naturally affectionate people seem to appreciate home made cards and presents best x

That's what I'm doing on some canvas' for grandparents. Going to make them into owls sat on a tree

Havent done that yet, the ones we've made today are christmas trees in salt dough. They look pretty good!

The best gifts are the ones money cant buy, i'm working all over the xmas and new year period so have offered to babysit some of my friends kids so they can go out new years eve, I think when you work all year and cant get a sitter as everyone else is going out gifts like that are nicer than a box set of shower gel

I make jewellery so my mum, sisters and friends are all getting something I've made.

I have made many a Christmas present.

My favourite and most treasured was for my grandma. I saw a truffle recipe in tesco magazine yesrs ago. I bought the ingredients and spent sges with the kids making them. They looked nout like the pic but with her being quite blind she touched every single one before eating and smelling them. She loved them so much.

Brings tears to my eyes thinking of it x

Last year I made xmas cakes for all my family, the year before I made a tomato chutney. This year i may go for a chili jam.

A few years ago I'd never have dreamed of giving homemade gifts to my family as I knew most would not appreciate them. I have slowly brought them around to it though, partly by giving homemade gifts at other times of the year 'just because' and now I feelI ccan make the right thing for the right person and give it with pride.
