Kent

I was paying £36 a month water bill and decided to bite the billet and have a meter fitted on the off chance it might save me a few quid. Had it fitted a few months ago and got a letter afterwards saying my payment each month was gonna be £38!! So was worse off than when I started.

Anyway just got a letter saying they did a reading and my new payment is £15 a month and they are refunding me £115!! X

We all waste a lot of water, with some effort you can cut your consumption by 50%

Save dish water, for flushing toilet, fill a flask for hot drinks, rather than boiling too much water, shower instead of bath, collect rain water and use for flushing toilet, many simple ideas, and water meter does help.

not on a meter as they cant do it (i live in a maisonette) and have been out twice to check..

i just live in the Southwest and because of the vast amount of coastline and the tourism the region attracts guess we just pay more

That sucks I'm a first floor flat but I was told within the next few years everyone would have one. Maybe that's just my water company tho? X

I actually got 2 nearly identical letters, one saying refund into the bank within 7 days and one saying they are sending me a cheque within 14! But I rang them and it's going in the bank! Yay x
