get a ps3. has now tv. iplayer. 4od. netflix. blinkbox. demand 5. lovefilm. youtube.... and of course you can play games and use it as a media hub. now tv is of course cheaper but has less options. I'm sure they'll add more functions at a later date.

Yes we bought it from currys, for 15 pounds,as you get a day sport for free, which normally cost 8.99 for a day,it works fine, but you have to sign up or pay a small fee to get on many channels, although.bbc I player is free and a few others, but for what you can get it for,for ten pounds it's well worth the money, easy to set up,I also bought a hmdi switch box from eBay,otherwise you have to keep changing cables.hope this helps....oh.just to say I hate sort as well.lol.....

Have you not thought about Netflix , if you change your setting to the American one, the choice is so much better

I have a raspberry pi with loads of downloaded channels like ice films with 17,000 free films to stream. Plus it has every sky channel inc movies and sports. Not entirely legal mind..

File size will depend on whether it's hd or not. But they can go up to about a gig in size if your streaming for TV though it shouldn't eat up into your fair usage. Oh on it also depends on your ISP
