Why do people do this ? I can think of a logical reason why someone would put " la la land " or "somewhere over the rainbow" , as there location on a site like this ! I'm sure there is a sensible explanation for why people do this ? |

Nothing on a sex site is real until you speak in real life/ time, some people travel with work and change locations daily, some just don't want to be identified. What difference does it make, a message sorts things out. |

"To prevent them coming up on local updates of members in their area. Or to stop them coming up in local searches. "
Ok , that makes sense , but why would you want to prevent that ? |

I guess they want to protect their privacy. Especially if they live in a small community. |

A county I understand, as least hives you tough idea if person is within the distance prefer to travel, when daft named locations set it's impossible to tell where they are to decide if worth messaging |

The actual name they type in is irrelevant though. It is the post code they entered which then shows the distance on their profile. |

We do this. We make it very clear to anyone we talk to. We do it because we play in the midlands and so want to talk to people there. We don't want it to be known where we live or worse still by our kids! |
