Do you have someone at work who if they weren`t there work would be a very dull place?
One of my former workmates has moved to another department into a semi-supervisory position and was given a lap top/tablet loaded with all the info he needs for his new post. Whilst trying to familiarise himself with the device he hit the "return to factory settings" button and wiped the whole thing completely clean. Sadly, his new boss had entered to information directly onto the device and not backed to info up so had to rewrite the whole lot again!
Other calamities that have befallen my workmate are :- backing into an electric post the day after he`d had vehicle manouvering insruction! He put his foot through a shower screen glass and was off sick for four months until it healed sufficiently and my favourite, he parked on a slipway leading to a tidal part of a local river and fell asllep. He was woken by the Harbourmaster who was standing in his boat next to the van and had to towed off the slipway before it was safe to start the van up! The are numerous other small incedents that would no doubt spring to mind and if they`re going to happen to anyone, they always seem to happen to my workmate! He`s a really lovely guy but seems to attract trouble wherever he goes, but nothing seems to phase him! |
