My family are just going to have to make do with me spending time with them this Christmas as it's just cost me £333. To get my car safe enough to travel the hundreds of miles to visit them.
Now I know my kids and parents will be more than happy with this as I don't see them as often as I should, do you think your families would rather have a present or the time ? |

I don't think I have worded this the correct way, I know my family would rather see me than have a present.
I think what I'm getting at is so many people think Christmas is all about the presents and some go into debt just to ensure presents are bought. Many many people I think would rather have someone's time than a present and sometimes we just need to remember that.
Oh I know what I mean , sorry if I have confused anyone. |

oh time definitely!
last year the only gifts that were exchanged were for my daughter. We just had a great big roast dinner and enjoyed the food, drink and family games |

Totally agree with you moody!!
Christmas is very over hyped by the media.... Expensive perfumes, the latest gadgets ect
We are spending Christmas Day with my very good nilla friend, and we have both said that we are not buying each other any presents... And that we will all just have a great time on Christmas Day being with people that matter to us |

The year after Dad died Mum's present to me was a day in Manchester for my birthday. She bought me a few little things but the main present was having time with her, out of the house, just the two of us. |

A bill for a wedding dress is not a good present though. |

I see my parents once a year so if that one opportunity does not happen (like last xmas when my dad's paper got stolen and they could not cross the border) I spoil them and love getting them English goodies they enjoy.
But time with them will always be more important. |

My family are spending money on me to travel to visit them all this christmas as they know it's a struggle for me at the moment... They would rather have me there with them xmas morn than unwrap a prezzie from the tree.. |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
We try and concentrate on doing things together over Christmas. This can be expensive enough. I also like to get the children presents and much as I know they enjoy time with me I also know they are disappointed if there is no present.
Now, for Fab people time should be more than enough of a present. I need to get my naughty but nice list together.

Ask him to get you a pair of hand restraints as well and if possible can he keep you in them at all times. I'm sure this will do wonders for your sex lives. |
