It's called a paint roller.
It takes an age to load with paint (inside the roller), and an age to clean it. So you have to keep going and not do it in stages (the painting).
Landing, stairs, lounge, dinning room, couldn't do the hall and downstairs loo, too knackered.
If it make me this stiff the next day, think I need to design a tool to strap it to my dick 
Set me think about creativity (swallows back a smile) on this site and what type of tools would be designed by members.
