My girls think so
because I remember when There were Only three t v channels,,
you could drink from a pop bottle wipe it with your grubby hand (thinking you d cleaned it,,!) just to make certain it had germs on the top and pass it to your mates
Are you a dinosaur,?
what do your kids say that makes you think back to your childhood,? |

When you had to say no nowts whenever you bought something to eat or drink, just so you didn't have to share it with your mates, otherwise they'd all have 2's and 3's |

Remember two channels, the Pop man, Fish man and Butcher that did the rounds in their van on a friday, 78rpm records, radios that took 5 mins to warm up before they worked and reel-to-reel tape recorders for recording the sound when Top of the Pops was on TV |

I remember three channels, the fruit and veg van, the butcher and the bread man. Money back on Corona bottles and no land line so had to walk half a mile to the village to use the kiosk! |

I like watching old 80s advert compilations on youtube.
Something I love about adverts is that unlike tv shows, movies and music from the era, its extremely rare that they get played outside of the time they were produced (like the recently reused Kitkat advert with the pandas from 1989 I believe), so watching them is like looking at a snapshot from a time gone by, a real trip down memory lane. |

"i can remember getting our first colour tv. and when all this used to be fields."
I remember the very first program I saw in colour, it was the wedding of princess Anne.
I remember the sheep coming down our street in the spring and going up in the winter.
A taxi to school and stopping at the sweet shop to get sports chews.
My baby brother coming home from hospital and having a present at end of pram for all us older kids.
A Christmas where it was one sheet of wrapping paper over a small pile of books colouring pens soap on a rope and a game and it being a fantastic Christmas.
I could go on here |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
The time before morning television and when it ended at a reasonable bed time.
The first McDonald's in the country being announced on the television.
The opening of the first "modern" shopping centre.
Before M&S started selling food. |
