I know some people will nominate the mobile phone or maybe speed cameras. But what commonly in use item should be uninvented?
I was laid in the bath as I watched my lovely warm bathwater draining away, so I would like to nominate the bath overflow. The world, or at least my bathroom, would be a better place without it  |

i'd go with the mobile phone, people are obsessed with them now days, everyone's trying to get your number and calling and texting you all hours, it drives me nuts when people call me to ask me stupid things that could wait till the next time they saw me, I have to say i'm not a fan and if they wasn't a requirement for my job I wouldn't have one |

Toyota Prius (along with all other hybrid cars).
They do more damage to the environment before they've even turned a wheel than most "normal" cars do in their service life... |

This is of course, until that day when you run you bath, get distracted then notice the large volume of hot water running across the floor, then go shit why did it not have an overflow
