Newcastle and Gateshead

okay.... so the list for SPOTY 13 had been announced

Athletes Mo Farah, 5000 and 10000 meter world champion

400 meter world champ Christine Ohuruogu Paralypic Champion Hannah Cockroft

Wimbledon winner Andy Murray

Tour De France Winner Chris Froome.

US Open Golf Champion Justin Rose,

America's Cup winner Sir Ben Ainslie,

jockey AP McCoy, winner of 4000 races

Ashes top run scorer Ian Bell,

British and Irish Lions player Leigh Halfpenny

okay... so we know Murray will win in a landslide

but who would you vote 2nd and 3rd???

because he missed out on the top 3 last year, Mo Farah for me should come 2nd, for me Leigh Halfpenny would come 3rd... the man played out of his skin in the 6 nations and the lions test series

Leigh Halfpenny as I obviously have to support a fellow Welshman plus I think he deserves it anyway as he's a bledi good player Then Mo Farah as I think he's incredible

Andy Murray for runner up AND third place as well, he is Scottish and can beat the world at tennis, that is what is extraordinary!

chris froome may get in the top three although those are all sensible choices and deserving of whatever awards come their way

McCoy because his record will probably never be beaten.

Farah because he's just so good and genuinely has a likeable personality.

Following Wimbledon Andy Murray is a shoe in. Not sure I agree, but that's how it shall turn out.

them be fight words...... lol

for all those who want someone else on the list, i would say "who would you take off?"

the only one i have a quibble with is actually AP McCoy... because it feels more like a lifetime achievement thing, rather than what you did in 2013

"Following Wimbledon Andy Murray is a shoe in. Not sure I agree, but that's how it shall turn out. "

This think it's Murray's year with the Wimbledon win, Ian bell had a brilliant summer and basically won the ashes for England with the odd player offering a supporting act, and as an Halifax lad I'd like to see Hannah cockroft in the top 3, but it's got Murray's year written all over it

Id like it to be Halfpenny but it should be Andy Murray really because of Wimbledon.

Team of the year British Lions

A certain irony to Murray being favourite to win a personality contest
