As a general rule yes, there are ways of putting your point across without being rude or personal towards someone....... but if someone is rude to me then I fire back with both barrels  |

I thought my lad. was big enough n able to fend for himself also but against 3 he had no chance....i kept dealing with the school but so wish i had taken it to source with the parents....give them what for and hopefully they will leave him be...good luck x |

No definatly disagree.
censorship is not good in any form.
self censorship is included.
often on here people wont say anything because of either they feel it will effect their chance of a meet or they know the over zealous mods will delete or ban them. |

If we all simply kept quiet and allowed the more vociferous to have their say it would be a poor show .

sometimes one has to say something which one side of the debate will deem 'not nice' as it opposes their view..
respect one can do so without being offensive or personal..
love the threads where folks stipulate whom and sometime in what direction contributors may take part..
bit like wearing a 'kick me up the arse' poster on ones back and strolling down a high street...
ps, not advocating violence which is not nice.. |

There is such a thing as 'self moderation' however, and you'll often get to where you want to go a lot faster if you learn when to speed up and when to slow down, rather than simply flooring it from the get go and ploughing straight into a wall. |

There is a world of difference between a post not having to be nice for the sake of it and being abusive though.
Posters being incapable or willing to articulate themselves and just resorting to obscenities and/or abuse is when the forum invariably becomes unpleasant. |

There's nothing wrong with constructive criticism, I mean if had a BO problem thought it may not be nice to be told you smell in the long run i'd be grateful as I could sort it out

I think a lot of time people mistake not being nice for having the audacity to have a different opinion of subjects and airing them....
I like the fact this is more like actually life... and to be honest, this is tame compared to a lot of the madhouse forums I visit..... |

I was talking more in real life not on the forum, I appreciate what your saying on here you are better to have a reasoned argument than just be abusive because you come across the same people daily, in the world world I will say your a cunt and I don't like you please don't speak to me ever again, and then I will avoid speaking to that person again |
