This morning I posted on a thread and then decided to send a message to the author of the thread. I read my own post to expand on what I'd said, and then sent the message. A couple of minutes later I noticed that I had a new message. I was quite excited cos I haven’t received any messages for a while. I rushed off to read it, only to discover that, instead of sending to the intended recipient, I’d accidentally messaged myself whilst I was checking my own post. Ah Well….

Anyone else done anything foolish recently?

It does happen. Esp when as you say, your mind has 4 things in it to do and ONE set of hands to type.

A couple months ago I was in a bit of a rush to get ready and leave the house. I'd slept till about 11am and only had a short amount of time to be somewhere at midday so chucked on a pair of tracky bottoms, and whatever trainers were handy. I was vaguely aware of something 'odd' as i tied up the laces on the right trainer, but it wasn't until I took the trainers off AT NIGHT WHEN GETTING INTO BED that I realised they were odd trainers. Bad enough that I had put them on and gone out, but to have had them on all day and not noticed. It gets worse when you consider that they were actually different sizes as well (my feet are in between shoes sizes)

Blurt is that last posting of yours deleted because you were going to write that what a coincidence, you had also messaged yourself - then you realised you were the person that started the thread?

Ahhh.....

The big question is do you reply to your own messages, even to say "thanks but no thanks", or are you one of these rude and inconsiderate people who just deletes without replying???
