Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
I have to go to things like this on my own from time to time. Unless it was work related or a personal friend I wouldn't travel from Leicester to London for it though.
Why are they snobs? Champagne drinking doesn't make you a snob as far as I know. |

"I do know who they are if that makes sense. Ive never met them but I know what they all do and when I say snobs I don't mean posh I mean those that are up their own are
L"
So you know them but you've not met them, assume that because you know what they do they're snobs - and without ever having a conversation face to face with them feel they're up their own arses?
And they invited you why ?? |

Titz Towers, North Notts |
I would go in full on Tina mode, speak with a right broad Mansfield accent so everyone spent all night trying to work out what I had said, find something to break, see how much loo roll I could nick (not that I need it, but just to see what a posh chap did when he ran out at a bad moment) and cause as much chaos as I could without it being obvious.
Ps, one of my school friends accused me of being an anarchist. |

hmmmm I'm a little confused ~ how did you get an invite if you don't know them....?
I like the sound of drinking champagne & meeting new people but if you don't think they're your type of people then don't go! |

"Like Soxy though, I would go with my official title Little Lord Fauntleryan. "
Would that be Little Lord Fauntleryan of the world famous Fauntleryan-Gnomefumblers by any chance ? |

"Don't go, you've made your mind up about them all despite not knowing them you couldn't possibly enjoy yourself.thats why I'm not going, the question was would you go"
I'd go. Free bubbly and I've been (and organised) many such events - and there's a lot of 'normal', non snobby, small investors that go - possibly some like yourself! |

I see, then no I wouldn't, I wouldn't be happy going somewhere like that alone I would drink too much champagne and make inappropriate advances to all and sundry |

You didn't give a reason for them being snobs and the only other clue given is that it is a champagne reception. I haven't said you have said drinking champagne makes you a snob I have just asserted that drinking champagne, to my knowledge, doesn't make you a snob. |
