I dont know whether to laugh or cry but i was attempting an easy crossword with my neice.... 
The clue was ....."a swelling of the eye" and i added my own which was "pigs live in them"
We sat and sat while she thought about it
And then comes out with ......
"a ditch"
WTF ?
I was nearly on the bloody floor and was flabberghasted she didnt know....
Education was wasted on that girl.

a bloke at work was stuck on a crossword.
it took him three days and he was stuck on his last clue.
anyway we were all sat in the canteen and somebody asked him what clue he was stuck on.
the clue was domesticated feline animal (three letters)
when we asked him what he thought it was he said DOG but he said it couldn't be as the first letter was C and the last letter was T.
he then went about changing the answers that had given him the C & T into D & G to give him the answer he wanted.
