If someone for whatever reason stated that you were not their type after communicating, then met you at a party and wanted to play with you, would you be open to play? or would they have "blown their chance"?
We witnessed this recently, where at a party, a woman loudly announced to a couple who approached them " you had your chance and blew us out, so don't come sniffing around us now"
resulted in the rest of us feeling slightly uncomfortable. |

omg.i understand them being miffed at not being their type, and then approached .but to say it in earshot of others at a party like that is very rude. |

This has happened to us too. A couple contacted us and we swapped pics, only to be told "No thanks". No worries as far as we were concerned, you win some, you lose some.
We went to a party and met the couple face to face and they came out with the line "you look better than your pics".
We just said no thanks and left it at that. |

If a decline had been made primarily on the pix n I then met them at a party n they were keen - well no I wouldn't necessarily refuse them out of hand if they seemed genuinely to feel they had made the wrong judgment first time. Why cut me nose off to spoil me face if I liked them |

So no one has ever changed their mind about someone when meeting them in person?
I don't think I'd be able to remember everyone who blew me out on here and if I did I certainly wouldn't suitably it at a party. That's very rude and if I was the organiser I'd ask her to leave. |

I think had it been us, we would have just politely said no thank you.
Making a scene just resulted in the couple in question looking like they were throwing their toys out of the pram. |

I just felt it said more about the woman ( her partner had not commented) than it did about the couple.
I also do not like forcing my issues onto other people, which by doing it so loudly and publicly she did.
in all honesty, I am not sure I would have wanted to play with someone who had previously turned me down, I guess it may be a pride thing, though not knowing the reasons between the two parties in question I am guessing.
However, I would have kept my dignity and jus politely said no thankyou. |
