As there is currently a thread up saying that Christmas is cancelled I thought I would start a debate and see if the christmas lovers win it or the bah humbugs .... so get posting below are you are Chrstimas lover or a bah humbug...
It might come as a huge surprise to everyone on here but I am a Christmas lover ....
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas .... over to you    |

We love Christmas. And on the First the lights go up outside and over the front door. And we start putting up the decorations in the lounge. (wants the santa smiley) |

I love Christmas, doing loads over Christmas. Determined for my daughter to have a great one and also a few children that are amazing kids and need to be shown how great they are. Negative thoughts gone and positive we going to make a difference.

And some it about family and friends time. Our family only give token gifts and usually we club together and donate to a charity. I for one usually try and do something for a kids ward or charity or help feed the homeless. Christmas is what you make it. You do not even need to believe in Christ or any of the holiday stuff to spread a bit of happiness. |

That is very true, but people have to start somewhere and the holiday season is as good a place as any to start. Some of us do it all year because not only is it the right thing to do but we feel better in ourselves for doing it. Merry Christmas and a joyous new year |

I used to love Christmas, but the shine has been well and truly knocked off it for me...
Not only has it become crassly commercial but as I have got older I have come to realize it is the nastiest time of year going.
Pubs that for the rest of the year are nice places to spend have a quiet drink in suddenly require bouncers to keep the peace. Then there are all those people who choose Christmas eve or New Years eve to break up with their partners!
Christmas...you can keep it!

I used to like the old, Continental, kind of christmas, when it was just about get togethers with friends, family, games, bit of extra nice food. That was before everything got vulgarised by commerce and greed.
Now I just let everybody get on with what they like and withdraw in my little cottage, with some mulled wine, a good book, and good music. Good company would be welcome, mind. |

Its a pain in the fucking ass, its far too commercial and used as a money maker to too many companies.
I find myself spending more and more each year on my Daughter (she dosent ask though, purely my fault), but to me it seems too much fuss for one day.
I know Christmas is over a period of time but its all about one day really.
If I had the chance to earn good money on christmas day, Id earn it.
Christmas dosent even begin until I have my Daughter with me, this year thats Boxing Day |

Nuh its the one time of the year I get some decent cash to get her the stuff I feel she has missed out on the rest of the year, this years case is clothes.
I had her last Christmas Day, I may end up getting her Christmas Night, it depends on where her Mum is off with her and where I think she will have a better day/night |

im sort of on the fence a bit with it as im on my own ,last year threw away my xmas
tree and all my decorations as my house was up for sale thought not need these if house sell b4 next xmas buy new.
so done my pressie buying bought a new tree and new decorations , cant decide when to put it up tho |

I hate it, because.....
Every body and their aunts goes shopping
Your normal product are displaced for Christmas crap....ie. I have this thing about for display purpose only toilet paper and towels....they have to match the decor and no one must use them!
The shops are closed on Christmas Day
You have to spend a wadge on postage!
You never know what to buy for presents....unless some smart arse gives you a list and then your annoyed because they are asking for stuff!
The weather is cold, but if you decide to go abroad and it's hot, it doesn't feel like Christmas!
On a positive note
I love the decorations
And you get an hour long easterners and a biggie storyline!
