Woke up this morning with the cat licking my arm and then my neck. Thought, 'strange, she's usually biting me and clawing me for breakfast...'

Realised I was lying in a funny position, and the covers were all over the room. Then I rolled over, and that was when the stinging sensation kicked in.

Blood everywhere, the cat has mangled my hand and wrist in my sleep. I must have been kicking around while I was out. And now I look like a self harmer!

Ouch.

My feline bed-warmer has a tendency to attack my feet if they poke out the bottom of the duvet. The threat of turning her into a Davey Crocket hat falls on deaf ears

If they're bites and not just scratches you need to see a doc as cat bites almost always get infected.

Don't worry folks, I'm inocculated, have a great immune system and heal fast. Any sign of illness or infection that won't go away, I'll be at the doctors immediately

You obviously have a fighty bitey on your bed. I have a furry purry on mine! The worst she does is go to sleep in my armpit so I can't move, and keep me awake with those fur sucking noises!

She's a charity case and went from being starved after her first owner was found dead after two weeks, to living in a house full of cats and dogs. So she's also a fighter and has irrational moments where she just goes kind of feral and then runs off. I cant hate her because I think she's been messed with

Aw shame, poor kitty! Yes, mine was a Blue Cross baby. She could pin golden retrievers down in the corner of HER stables, but only abuses me vocally!

Lol this one is very timid with the outside world, until it comes to other cats. She's not an outdoors cat but she owns the yard like a beast when she needs to. She just treats the people in the house like hostages sometimes.

I love strong-willed animals. I wanted a pair of kittens when I went to the Blue Cross, but they said 'Oh no, if you have Tottie it has to be her alone, she won't tolerate other animals!!' And she was only 6 months old then! Such a madam....

Lol she's been asleep on the bed and just woke up. Looks pissed off. I just said: 'oh hello, did you enjoy your "handy" little snack earlier?'

I fostered two last year who had feline HIV and weren't expected to live for too long. They were 12 weeks when I got them, and lived for another seven months.

No-one had told them they weren't well, and right up to their last hours they were full of life and energy.

I cried sore when they were put to sleep.

and no wink here.

thing is, all these people moan about dog owners and them shitting when out walking (the dog not the owner) but cats are let out and do anything they want anywhere they want.

Aw man that's heartbreaking.

As for other recent comments, I understand some people joke and some don't when they call cats vermin, but I'd never abandon or kill an animal because it doesn't know what it does.

However a human does understand the effect their own savagery has on the lives of others, so I would happily stuff such a person in a sack and throw them into the canal lol
